Glentress, Innerleithen and something a little more local...

I was up in Scotland at the weekend helping out at a Titus bikes demo day. Besides hanging out in the sun and talking about the bikes (tough, as I'm sure you can imagine), we also got to ride some too. The 7 Stanes is an awesome area which we barely scratched the surface of, so if you ever get the chance to go, then don't pass up the opportunity. Fortunately, I had the point & shoot in my camelbak so you can get an idea of what the place looks like.

World Cup Downhill Season Begins

The UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup kicks off this weekend in Maribor, Slovenia which will be accompanied by the second round of the 4X. Forecast is wet, but I'm sure that will lead to more exciting racing as it makes things a little more unpredictable.

Here's a few images from last years race to get you in the racing mood.

Last year's winner Fabien Barel unfortunately out with a broken femur.

All the gear and no idea.

I've been thinking for a while that it might be time to get myself a new flash with all the fancy doodad features on it, so today I finally forked out for a brand spanking new Nikon SB-900 Speedlight.

I went for a little stroll with my better half the other weekend and thought I'd take the opportunity to get out my old Nikon F90X.

Recent happenings

The two main events that I attended in the last month were the start of the NPS 4X at Uk Bikepark, Dorset and Round 1 of the UCI XC World Cup at Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire. One was a mudfest while the other dry. The pictures do a far better job of illustrating conditions than my poor grammer ever will, so I'll leave it to them.

The Blog Has Begun!

After creation of the website (http://russelldunkleyphotography.co.uk/index.html), I thought I'd let you know what's going on in my little world. Where I am, what I've been doing and what I plan to be doing in the near future.

Hopefully catch you round these parts again soon.
